To commemorate SOCAN’s formation 30 years ago - when Canadian performance rights organizations PROCAN and CAPAC merged - the organization calculated the three “most-performed” awards in its history. More than 700 songwriters, composers, music publishers and other assorted members of the music industry celebrated achievements in music creation, publishing and licensing at the 30th annual SOCAN Awards Monday night at Toronto’s Sheraton Centre Hotel.
